The world of awards has a brief, but definite history.  Here are a few places where you might learn about what has come before, as well as some other sources of information about web awards.

Awards Scoop is a public relations site that contains factual and background information concerning the subject of web awards.  Required reading for anyone who is thinking of starting an award program.

The Webmaster's Guide to Glory is, as far as we know, the only published book concerning the subject of web awards.  Written by M�c Miller, who ran a top-rated awards program himself. You can purchase a copy here.
